the reconnect program begins today for the winter season

Residential electric as well as natural gas customers are reminded that, today begins the annual winter heating season reconnection program. This statement is coming directly from the Public Utilities Commission over in Ohio.
The winter reconnect order allows residential customers that have had their heating service disconnected, or those that have received notices dealing with their heating services being disconnected, to have an opportunity to pay an amount that is designated specifically in order to have their home heating services restored, as well as maintained.
